The 2010 CADWALADER HEIGHTS HISTORIC HOUSE TOUR
On Saturday, September 11, 2010 from 12 Noon to 5 P.M., residents of Cadwalader Heights will open the doors of their homes for our 2010 Historic House Tour. Our theme for the 2010 event is Preserving Trenton’s Past, Investing in Trenton’s Future. In an effort to rebuild Trenton trough its youth, proceeds from this year's house tour will be shared with The Martin House, specifically its educational program through the Martin House Learning Center. The Martin House is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is “to help some of the poorest people in one of the poorest sections of Trenton earn their American dream though home ownership and education.” We are proud to support the endeavors of this organization. Cadwalader Heights is a living architectural exhibit. Tudor, Georgian, Colonial Revival, and Craftsman style homes sit at the edge of nearby Cadwalader Park, designed at the turn of the 20th century by renowned landscape architect, Frederick Law Olmsted. A published account of the History of Cadwalader Heights is available in book form and can be purchased on this website or by visiting participating homes the day of the event. Read some historical background. We appreciate your continued support of the Cadwalader Heights Historic House Tours and invite you to return again and again. To this end, we continue to open houses that are popular amongst our visitors AND we try to showcase homes each year that you may not have seen before or in quite some time. With all good wishes for the coming year -- until we see you next time, The 2010 House Tour Committee
