The "Cadwalader Heights: Welcome Back to the Neighborhood" Historic House and Garden Tour will showcase 10-12 beautiful homes and their unique stories, from construction to the present day. The Cadwalader Heights neighborhood’s last House Tour was in 2019; our biennial tradition was disrupted by the global pandemic. Now, we are opening our homes once again to visitors, sharing our community and our homes with civic pride and warm welcome.

The house tour is an opportunity to raise funds for community projects and gatherings as well as support a local nonprofit organization. This year, the Cadwalader Heights neighborhood in Trenton, NJ has chosen to donate a portion of the proceeds to HomeWorks Trenton, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit operating a free, after-school residential program for marginalized high school girls that provides academic and identity-driven leadership enrichment to supplement public schools and develop community leaders.

The self-guided walking tour will include 10-12 beautiful homes in this historic neighborhood designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, as well as the Trenton City Museum housed in Ellarslie Mansion in the heart of Cadwalader Park.

The neighborhood of Cadwalader Heights is represented by people of wide-ranging interests and accomplishments, living in distinctive homes with an array of architectural styles. These are artists, writers, builders, ministers, designers, information technology professionals, accountants, teachers, realtors, curators, veterans, community activists, and more – all devoted to furthering the greatness of Trenton and the ensuring its future is bright.
